Owning A Bar Business In Spain
Spain is considered to be one of the best countries under European Union with a good quality life and better lifestyle as compared to other countries surrounding the Spain. But one of the impasses in the pathway of the idea of settling down in Spain is the difficulty in getting work. So if anyone who wants to settle in Spain and can manage setting up a new business then, a less expensive and more tempting option is to buy a bar.
No doubt it is an easy job to manage a bar but if the care is not taken properly then this business can easily go down. One of the main problems whenever a person thinks of setting up a bar in Spain is that very little knowledge is provided by the legal representatives regarding the rules and regulations to be followed in the bar business.
In order to run a bar successfully you need to take many issues under consideration:-

1. Firstly, the most important point is that you must estimate the amount of time and work that is involved with the bar maintenance. It is not an easy job to manage a bar if you are not committed to serving it with the best of your ability.
2. Secondly, in order to run a bar you need to acquire certain licenses. The procedures for obtaining these licenses vary from province to province. This process can be quite hectic and troublesome so it is recommended that you must take some legal advice at this stage from a person who is habitual in dealing with such cases.
3. Thirdly, it is very important to learn how to speak Spanish (remember, Barcelona nightlife is NOT Las Vegas Nightlife) if you are a novice to the language as it will definitely help in attracting more customers.
Although it seems quite easier to buy some property and get a premise for bar ready, but this is really not that easy. You must take advice from relatives, friends and peers especially if someone has already taken a decision similar to the one you are planning to take. Before making a move to the new country you also have to buy a place to live in. This can be a little bit easy if you get a house on lease. In this case you will not have to pay for the house rather you will have to give some fixed amount as rent every month or quarterly as per the contract with the property-owner.
Similarly you can buy a bar as well on lease i.e. you will be legally responsible for maintaining and running the bar but the bar premise will be under the legal possession of the owner of the bar. If you take bar on lease then you may have to give certain percentage of your profit or income to the owner according to the agreement for whole period of lease. Or you may have to pay some fixed amount as rent to the bar owner irrespective of the fact whether your earnings are more than enough to comply with the rent amount or not.
